Ingredients for cooking meatballs with potatoes in a slow cooker

  2. Carrot 4 pieces
  3. Onions 2 pieces (minced meat) + 3 pieces
  4. Garlic 1 head (or to taste)
  5. Stuffing (beef or veal) 750 grams
  6. Rice 1 cup
  7. Eggs 2 pieces
  8. Olive oil 4 tablespoons
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Bay leaf 2 pieces
  11. Ground pepper 1 teaspoon
  12. Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Ketchup 3 tablespoons
  15. Water 1.5 liters
  16. Fresh parsley 1 bunch

Step 1: prepare the meat for meatballs.

Mix the minced meat with two chopped onions, half a bunch of parsley, three cloves of garlic (grated or crushed), season with salt, thyme, paprika and pepper. Add the minced eggs, rice and two tablespoons of vegetable oil. Mix everything very well.

Step 2: cook meatballs in a slow cooker.

Pour water into the multicooker, dip the meatballs rolled up from minced meat (each the size of a walnut) into it and select the mode frying. Cook the meatballs for 15 minutesremoving foam from the broth as it forms.

Step 3: prepare the vegetables.

While the meat is being cooked, peel and chop the carrots and potatoes into large cubes / pieces. Peel and chop the onion very finely. Finely chop the remaining garlic.

Step 4: fry the onions in a slow cooker.

When the meatballs are boiled, catch them from the broth, pouring while the liquid is in another place.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the bottom of the multicooker and in mode frying cook onion and garlic until soft and transparent.

Step 5: stew meatballs with potatoes in a slow cooker.

When the onions become transparent, add potatoes and carrots to the multicooker, pour them with meatball broth, so that the vegetables are completely covered. Close the slow cooker, change the mode to quenching and set the timer to 30 minutes.

Halfway to the cooking time, open the slow cooker and add meatballs to the vegetables.

Add ketchup, bay leaves and salt and pepper to taste as well. Close the cover of the multicooker.

When everything is ready, decorate the dish with fresh parsley and mix gently.

Step 6: serve meatballs with potatoes cooked in a slow cooker.

Stewed meatballs with potatoes in a slow cooker, serve hot to the table. This is a full lunch or dinner. You can beautifully serve it in a pot. Delicious! Try it for sure.
